AI Impact Assessment (AIIA)
The potential use of AI-supported systems offers many advantages and innovative approaches to work. However, their use can also lead to many disadvantages and unforeseeable consequences. Before introducing a new AI system, it is essential to assess the benefits as well as possible risks and the holistic impact of the system on all social groups. For this RTH offers different Workshops designed for Start Ups working on and developing AI.
AIIA for Startups - Specific Use Case Workshop
Based on a your specific AI use case, we will discuss the advantages, disadvantages and direct impact of your AI system in an interactive workshop and then derive strategies to minimize such risks. The module is a first step to provide a basis for your Start Up to conduct its own impact assessments for AI based on the EU AI Act.
AI Ethics for Future Presidents - Educational Workshop
Prepare the leaders of today and tomorrow with the ethical compass they need for the age of artificial intelligence. This interactive workshop is designed for policymakers, legislators and changemakers to explore the moral, social, and political implications of AI systems. Through real-world case studies, hands-on activities, and collaborative debates, participants will examine questions around AI Ethics and AI Impact on society. The workshop encourages critical thinking and civic responsibility, equipping political stakeholders with the knowledge to shape AI policies that adhere to our democratic norms and values.
Different Modules for different stakeholders
We have already implemented the AI Impact Assessment Workshop several times. Our past workshops took place with civil servants from German administrations in partnership with the GovTech Campus. The building blocks of our workshop can vary depending on the group of participants and their AI knowledge. However, the base for each workshop is the same.
AI Ethics for Rocket Scientists - Educational Workshop
This workshop is intended to offer interested Techies a first introduction into AI Impact Assessments. The interactive workshop focuses on common AI use cases, the AI Ethics debate around them and is intended to train developers into responsible AI development.
AI Literacy for Teens
Empower the next generation to not just use AI, but to understand it. This dynamic workshop introduces teens to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, from how algorithms work to how data is used in training models. Through engaging, age-appropriate content, students gain insight into how AI is shaping the world around them, and how they can be part of ethical AI development. Whether they're future tech innovators or conscious digital citizens, this workshop builds the confidence and curiosity teens need to thrive in an AI-driven world.
